This New Website Is Awesome!
A huge thanks to Jessica Ellis (Coach Mom and Soon-To-Be Mrs. Fahringer). She has spent the a lot of time designing this website. This will allow everyone of you to have easy access to important information to take your training to the next level.
My Rules and Expections
I will be posting ALL WORKOUTS through the site.
There will be no more workouts via Email. Please check the website regularly. I will be posting articles and blogs, as well as nutrition tips and video throws as well.
Practice location will still be sent via Text Message.
Location is based on the weather and available facilities.
I highly encourage and require throwing shoes.
We very rarely throw Javelin on grass, and if you do not use Discus/Shot Put shoes, you cannot expect to get the most out of, or complete, the workouts given.

Everyone is required to be at practice EVERY DAY.
Unless discussed with me (Coach Fahringer) three days prior to missing that practice.
-
If you miss a practice without consulting with me prior you will be removed from the travel list for the next meet. For example. A Javelin thrower who misses a practice in November, will miss the first meet in March. I don't care who you are, freshman, senior, All-American, it doesn't matter. You have made a commitment to the team and to your teammates.
-
If you are injured; you will still be required to come to practice! The training room will be the first stop. After seeing the training staff, you will report to me and recieve a workout that you can complete. I will be following up with the training room staff for compliance. If you don't complete the proper rehab to get healthy, you will not earn the oppurtunity to compete. I refuse to put your health at risk.
Come to practice prepared for the weather!
There is a weather app on the homepage. It will be cold for the majority of the training block (Nov. to Feb./March). Layers are important! I will send you home if you are not prepared for practice. Cold muscles equal torn muscles!
Come to practice with a positive mental attitude.
Negative attitudes are detrimental to preformance and growth. They are also very contagious. If your attitude at practice is effecting the flow of practice or effecting your teammates you be politely asked to leave.
The weight room workouts are MANDATORY!
I don't care when you get them done, but you must complete them every week. If you have questions or are unsure of what to do; ask me or Coach Thomas. Your upper classman have a lot of experience as well.
I expect everyone to be respectful of other teammates, coaches, and teams.
Nothing looks worse than someone at a meet that is cursing or yelling at officials, or jeering at other athletes. I don't want to hear it and neither does anyone else. You are representing Muhlenberg College and the Muhlenberg Throws Squad. We have a very great reputation for big throws and respectful athletes. I aim to keep it that way!
The Athletics Department & Coach Hackett have been very accommodating.
I have been able to get quality training equipment for our group (more equipment than every other group). Please respect the equipment. Please clean and put all of the equipment away so that we can use it for a very long time. Throwing equipment is expensive!
I want open communication.
Please feel free to come to me with thoughts, concerns, suggestions, and comments pertaining to workouts, balancing college and athletics, and life in general.
